About Me
My name is Martina, and I am a qualified counselor currently training as an Integrative Child Therapist. From an early age,
I knew I wanted to work with children and support their emotional well-being. In my work, I look at the whole picture - the child, the parents, and the environment in which a child grows and develops.
As an integrative child counselor and child therapist in Almere, I work in an open, empathetic, and flexible way. I follow the child’s pace and create a safe, playful atmosphere where children can be themselves. Play, lightness, and curiosity are important elements in my sessions, alongside gently exploring what lies beneath emotions or behavior.
I am completing a four-year training in Integrative Child Therapy at the de Nederlandse Academie voor Psychotherapie, accredited by the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP). This training combines scientific knowledge with practical, child-centered methods and actively involves parents in the process.
I work in Dutch, English, and Czech, and I specialise in supporting expat, international and intercultural families in the Netherlands. I have a strong understanding of the challenges children and parents may face when living between different languages and cultures.
I work under professional supervision, which helps me continue developing as a therapist and ensures that my guidance remains thoughtful, careful, and focused on what is best for your child and your family.
